For girls wear the sarees, and boys can have the tank tops,

I wish I wasn’t born in a time like this, I wish I was a thought.

A wide range of dark and light shades of lipstick, a tray full of different sized earrings, a colourful box with multi-sized nose pins and a huge box with things to beautify herself, things to please others.

Nila loved to be different, the rejected baggy pants and those loose t-shirts comforted her a lot. But the world around her expected something else. ‘No loose t-shirts, no baggy pants, no sneakers for you are a girl.
